Privacy policy

This policy describes how Nicolas Meuzard (“we”), as data controller, collects and processes the personal data of drivers using Chauffeur Pro, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and French data-protection law. Questions: hello@chauffeur-pro.com.
1. Data we process
We process only the data needed to run the service:

Card payments are handled directly by Stripe: no card data passes through or is stored on our servers. Analytics contain no data that identifies passengers.
2. Legal bases
- Performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR): account, profile, subscription, support.
- Legal obligation (art. 6.1.c): retention of billing data.
- Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f): service security and aggregated analytics of the driver’s own site.
3. Processors and hosting
We use the following processors, governed by agreements compliant with art. 28 GDPR:
- Vercel Inc. — application & website hosting (European Union / United States).
- Supabase, Inc. — database, authentication, file storage & sign-in e-mails (European Union).
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — payment & billing processing (European Union / United States).
Where a processor may operate outside the European Union, any transfers are covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Retention
- Account and profile: for the life of the account, deleted when the account is closed.
- Billing data: kept up to 10 years to meet accounting and tax obligations.
- Analytics: aggregated, kept for as long as useful to the driver.
5. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Two are available directly in the app:
- Export your data from Settings (right to portability).
- Delete your account and data from Settings (right to erasure).
You may also exercise your rights by e-mail at hello@chauffeur-pro.com. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the French CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
6. Security
Access to data is protected by authentication and database-level security rules (Row Level Security): a driver can only reach their own data. A driver’s contact details become public only when they choose to publish their site, which stays unlisted and non-enumerable.
